Each day we help many people across the country to obtain a pardon or record suspension for an old criminal record.
Often times the criminal record lingers in the psyche of the person long after the offence happened. The criminal record stays on file forever until a pardon is granted.
Once the pardon is granted, the person feels a huge sense of relief of no longer carrying the burden of a criminal record.
Here is a recent letter we received from a woman we helped to obtain a pardon for a theft conviction:
“I’m writing this letter to say thank you Pardons Canada”
“It means a great deal to me and I feel as though I have a heavy burden lifted from my shoulders”
“When I took the merchandise, I wasn’t myself. I was going through a very troubling time in my life.”
“A very strange way for me to act. I knew it was wrong but couldn’t stop myself. I found myself playing Robinhood.”
“Many years have passed and I have God in my life now and no longer feel alone and tempted to steal.”
“Now that I have the pardon, I have a clean slate and I am so grateful for this.”
