I was currently working for Uber and suddenly they stopped my account because of a peace bond I received in court for an assault charge. Uber said that I have to clear the peace bond and fingerprints then they will allow me back to work.

So I was charged with assault in the casino then the judge made me sign the peace bond with one year expiry and I promised never go to the casino in this one year. This is my story but the problem is the peace bond will be expire in one year and I just signed the peace bond last week 23 August 2019 and I have a family I must support.

Uber did a criminal background check which showed the peace bond shows up on it  that’s why they said we can not accept you

Pardons Canada: Uber usually conducts criminal background checks before hiring a driver. In your case, you were already working for Uber and they did a criminal check on you and saw your peace bond and prevented you from working.

Pardons Canada: You must obtain a file destruction to remove your prints, photos and police records so that in the future if your name is run on a criminal background check then no one will see anything and you will be safe to get whatever work you wish. If you were convicted of an offence, then you will need a pardon or record suspension.
