Every day we receive thank you letters from Canadians whom we have helped to obtain a Canada Pardon or US Entry Waiver (I-194). In many cases, the person is completely relieved of the burden of carrying around the label of being a “criminal” and is extremely grateful for being given a second chance in life.
Here is a letter from a person we helped to remove a criminal record with a Canada Pardon:
“The most important aspect of this Pardon is that I no longer have to worry about having to explain my criminal past to potential employers.”
“The timing could not have been any better when I consider that I will be graduating from college in December having completed a 3 year Computer Systems Technology course.”
“To me, that alone is such a relief that I honestly don’t know why I never applied for a pardon sooner. I’m extremely honest and the truth is I was a very, very foolish young man and even with a pardon, there’s no escaping that reality. Its just the way it was, and the way it is now with my having evolved.”
“I wish my parents were here to help me celebrate this moment because I know they would have approved and been very happy for me. But since that isn’t possible, I will have to be content with looking in the mirror each morning and liking that person I see looking back at me. Content in the knowledge that I overcame all the obstacles in my life.”
“When its all said and done, I can genuinely smile having removed the stigma of a criminal record and take flight in the new found freedom it represents.”
