Pardons Canada: Liberals Propose Positive Changes to Pardons Rules
In rare cases a pardon/record suspension application will be denied because the person has been in trouble in the recent past, even though the charges may have been dismissed or withdrawn.
If that happens, then an appeal is necessary to convince the parole board that the person has reformed their character and are worthy of the pardon/record suspension.
Once the criminal record is removed by way of a pardon, the person will be completely safe for work and travel purposes.
