Every day we speak to people who have been in trouble with the law and are seeking a second chance in life with a Canada Pardon.
Most people we speak to are good human beings who have made a stupid mistake in their life and as a result are now labeled as a “criminal’. This label is a heavy burden to carry for one’s lifetime and thankfully the Canadian government is willing to give us a second chance with a Canada Pardon.
Here is a letter we recently received for a person we helped to remove an uttering threats charge with a Pardon:
“I want to thank Pardons Canada for lifting this huge burden off my shoulders.”
“The counsellors are very understanding and helpful during the process and guided me through every step of the way.”
“Back in the summer of 2002 I was very ill but did not know what was wrong and my behaviour was getting out of control so my mom had to call the police to get some help, and they arrested me.”
“The police and my Mom thought maybe the court system would force me to get help but unfortunately they were no help at all.”
“I didn’t get diagnosed with schizophrenia until about 3 years into my illness and I have been doing very well.”
“I understand I am ill and take my medication every day, I am not a violent person and do not have a criminal mentality, so having this pardon is very important to me.”
