Why is the Pardon/Record Suspension taking longer than expected? I paid for Priority service.

The back of your invoice/authorization agreement provides an approximate timeline for general files. Every file is different. Some files are more complex because, for example, there are numerous convictions that we need information about. It also depends on how many times you have moved in the past 5 years. Your file is also affected by how quickly you get your fingerprints done and return requested documents to our office. As well, courts and police are taking longer to provide requested documents due to an increased demand. Please note that a Priority file affects the level of service you receive from Pardons Canada. It does not affect the timeline.
