There has recently been a lot of media attention on Pardons and pending changes to the laws governing Pardons.
Enclosed is a recent article that highlights some of the proposed changes. These include a stricter judgement on sexual offences to minors and people who have multiple serious or indictable offences.
Please remember these are PROPOSED CHANGES and have not yet been legislated. It takes time to legislate and until that time everything is status quo.
The need for a Canada Pardon is greater than ever, as every employer in the country is running criminal checks prior to hiring. Also, the Americans will not allow a person to enter their country with a criminal record.
