Pardons Canada: Federal Government Reduces Pardon Approval fee to $50

The federal government of Canada announced that they are reducing the fee for a pardon application from $655 to $50 effective Jan 1, 2022.

This is fantastic news for so many people who have a criminal record that is preventing them from gaining employment, volunteering and travel.

The fee to Pardons Canada to gather all of the documents and prepare the pardon application remains the same in 2022 at approximately $945 + tax. The fee can be paid in instalments over a four or five month period if the individual needs time to pay. One pardon will remove all of the offences and once approved the applicant will no longer have a criminal record.
