We help hundreds of Canadians each week to remove old criminal records by way of a Canada Pardon.  Part of the process in obtaining the Pardon is to obtain an RCMP file which highlights all the criminal convictions and charges for the applicant.

An RCMP file, which is the file used by employers to search for criminal record backgrounds, will show ALL charges even if they are not convictions.  This includes conditional and absolute discharges, withdrawn, stayed and dismissed charges.

It is important to get a Pardon or File Destruction so that employers will not see the old criminal record when requesting a criminal background check.

Since every employer in the country is conducting criminal checks on new employees and sometimes existing employees, the RCMP has been bombarded with requests and their timelines for delivering the RCMP file has been delayed significantly.
