Once your Pardon/Record Suspension application has been submitted to the Parole Board of Canada (PBC), your application will be reviewed for approval. The PBC is mandated to decide on Summary (not serious) offences within 6 months and for Indictable (more serious) offences within 12 months.

Timelines with the PBC are as unique as your application and are influenced by many factors such as the nature of your charge, how many charges you have, etc.

Pardons Canada has a tracking system to ensure we follow up at a reasonable time after receiving the initial PBC acknowledgement letter. Once the decision is made, you will receive proof in writing.
