Visitor: I’m trying to apply for a contractors licence with the city of Kitchener and I am afraid my past will stop me from being approved.
I was in a heated argument with my wife about 2 years ago and hit her phone out of her hand causing a very big fight between us. I was arrested and I went to the local police shop for a few hours that evening.
After this issue we resolved and got back together.

The judge requested me to undergo parental training (p.a.r.s.)  for my young boys because they saw everything, and a program for abusive spouses in exchange for the charges to be dismissed.

I’ve compleated the courses and I’m trying to move on to the next step of my life but this is hanging heavy on me.

If this finds you well I hope you may have some guiding inspiration for me.
thank you for your time and have a most blessed day.

Pardons Canada: It is good that your assault charge was dismissed once you completed the PARS course and you do not have a criminal conviction. However, because you were fingerprinted by the police you will need to apply for a file destruction which will remove your fingerprints from the RCMP file so that you will be safe for work and travel.
