We have been getting many calls recently from people who are seeking to apply for a NEXUS pass so that they can travel more easily through the US Border.

A NEXUS pass allow for immediate acceptance into the US without having to talk with a customs officer.  In other words, you don’t have to wait in line, you can breeze through the US Border by simply scanning your eyes.

NEXUS is a huge convenience for people who want to travel to the US without having to wait in long customs lines.

If you have a criminal record or were charged with a criminal offence that was withdrawn, dismissed, stayed, conditional or absolute discharged, you will NOT get the NEXUS pass.

Before applying for NEXUS, if you do have a criminal charge in Canada, you should apply for a Canada Pardon or File Destruction.  Once the charges are removed, you may be safe to get your NEXUS pass.

If you have been denied entry to the US because of a criminal record, you will need a US Entry Waiver or I-194 to re-enter the US.  This application is complicated and costly.

If you have any questions regarding this topic or about Pardons and US Entry Waivers email us at info@pardons.org or call 1-877-929-6011.
