Visitor: I can’t really remember but I think maybe 10 times I have been fingerprinted by the police, last time was around January 2007 and I believe and that one was withdrawn after I completed a diversion program.
All of the offences were in Calgary, Alberta. Nothing at all since 2007. There were theft under for shoplifting and fraud under $5000 for putting cheque’s through my Mother’s bank account and withdrawing funds without her consent. There were a few failure to appears and breach of probation. There were unpaid fines for an unlicensed dog ($250 fine, 3 days in remand to clear it) and driving without insurance (it was my sisters car and she was driving but I had it under my name… $600 fine). I was able to do that by fine option by volunteering at a half way house.
I have had probation, fines etc,. I was in remand for 2 months because I failed to attend for weekends in custody. I spent 30 days in Peter Lougheed hospital for a psych evaluation and at some point was under curfew at home but can’t remember exactly when… there were a few breaches for that as our apartment locked out door buzzer at night and I did not hear the phone but they were dropped when I provided a key for them to access. I have never been arrested for violence or drugs of any kind.
How can I start fresh and remove this messy past from my history?
Pardons Canada: One pardon will remove all of your offences as long as you have paid all of your fines and done your punishments. You have clearly turned your life around since 2007 and have lived a crime free life for over a decade. You deserve a second chance and once the pardon is granted, then your criminal record will no longer haunt you and you will be safe for employment and travel without worry of the criminal record getting in the way.
