Most employers in Canada now conduct criminal background checks so if you have a criminal offence or if you have ever been fingerprinted by the police it will show up on a criminal check and you will likely miss out on the employment opportunity. Many people are not aware that they can get the criminal record removed and think that they are screwed for the rest of their life. Thankfully, the Canadian government grants pardons or record suspensions to all Canadians with a criminal conviction so long as they have paid their punishment and stayed out of trouble for a perscribed period of time.
Thousand of Canadians each year feel so relieved once their pardon is granted so that they now have the freedom to get whatever work they wish.
Here is a typical response from a person we helped to obtain a pardon:
I would like to thank the whole staff at Pardons Canada for their competency and hard work in helping me obtain my pardon. As a recent client of yours, I cannot begin to fully express how grateful I am to Pardons Canada in representing me with the Parole Board to help me successfully obtain my pardon and record suspension.
Having my criminal background files purged and removed from public records has lifted a huge weight from my shoulders. Your staff has opened a new chapter in my life and I can now begin to walk a brighter path. I will no longer have to worry or be ashamed of the things that I was wrongly accused of previously. I can now obtain whatever employment I wish without the dread of being rejected due to my criminal record. I am finally worry free. Thanks for the wonderful and expert work of your pardon department that helped uncover my past court records, police and rcmp files to put in my application for final approval.
Your organization has honored its word and in my humble opinion have earned a medal for trustworthiness in getting the job done in a professional and timely manner.
