Many people with an old criminal record will feel like their freedom has been taken away as the label “criminal” can limit many opportunities.

Employment and travel are the two biggest issues when you have a criminal record, but also all volunteer positions are now doing criminal checks as well.  Perhaps the biggest issue with having a criminal record is the emotional toll it can have on a person.  Many people are ashamed or feel bad about their past actions, they’ve paid the punishment, but yet still have a criminal record.

Once your criminal record is removed by way of Pardon/Record Suspension or Destruction you will feel incredibly relieved because you no longer have the stigma of being labeled a criminal.
