We receive hundreds of thank you emails and letters from people we have helped to remove a criminal record. The feeling that people have once the criminal record is removed is very positive. Here is an email we recently received from a person whom we helped to obtain a pardon for a theft and assault conviction:
To all those at Pardons Canada that had a hand in submitting my recent Pardon Application to the Parole Board of Canada:
First of all a huge thanks to everyone involved!! I could not have secured this successful outcome without your assistance. When I opened my mailbox on April 8th 2019 and saw the envelope from Pardons Canada I was expecting either another request for documents, or, a negative outcome, so I was not all that anxious to open it. After changing out of my work clothes I decided to not wait for my wife to come home from work and went ahead and opened the envelope. It was a very good thing I was home alone, as I became very emotional upon reading the words “Congratulations Enjoy your new freedom”! And emotional again, when I read the document from the Parole Board of Canada! It took me this long to write this letter to you to give me time for those words to ‘sink in’! The application journey was long, and when I told those that knew of my conviction I was applying for a Pardon not one them thought I would be successful which discouraged/depressed me quite a bit.
Upon reading those words I mentioned above it was like a weight was lifted off my shoulders. There are no words that can truly express how I feel (only those that have been in this situation can understand what I mean)! I can now finally put this behind me and I look forward to living up to the faith the Parole Board of Canada put in me in granting me this Pardon! Thanks again for everything you did on my behalf and keep up the great work for others needing your services!
