There are many reasons why people need a Canada Pardon to remove a criminal record from public record.
The most common reason to remove a criminal record is to have a clear criminal background check for job application purposes. Most jobs require a criminal background check before hiring a candidate.
Another common reason to have your criminal record removed from public record is for Volunteer purposes. We get mom’s calling us who have not been able to volunteer for their children’s school, men who cannot become Big Brothers, people who are restricted from coaching their child’s sports team, because they have an old criminal record to which they have not yet received a Canada Pardon.
Once a Canada Pardon is granted, their criminal record is not available for public record and they can safely volunteer for whatever position they want.
Here is a letter from a person we recently helped to get a Canada Pardon for a DUI:
“I would have never guessed in a million years how twenty minutes or less in front of a judge in a court could have such a profound impact on a persons life.”
“What seems like only twenty minutes takes a huge amount of time to recover from.”
“The simple things in life doing volunteer work for your church as they now require CIPC.”
